Programs

Silver Eye maintains a welcoming atmosphere where questions are encouraged and thoughts are shared. Educational, social, and interactive programs accompany each exhibition at Silver Eye. Informal gallery talks feature the opinions and ideas of the guest speaker and stimulate discussions about the work on display. Artists’ lectures offer insights into the creative process and personal methodology of photography. Critical feedback and exposure to professionals in the photographic field are available through guest portfolio reviews.

In addition to other unique programs, Silver Eye creates individualized interactive workshops for groups. Silver Eye tailors the educational experience to meet each party’s needs and interests. Past participants include elementary to graduate school students, Girl Scouts of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and senior organizations, such as Pittsburgh Oasis.
