Gregory Halpern’s lyrical and poetic exploration of space focuses on the unexpected harmonies found within small snippets of America. Training his lens on moments and places that feel unpredictable and strange, yet contain elements of the familiar, Halpern’s images orient us towards embracing the oddities which surround us. Halpern has published five books of photographs, including Omaha Sketchbook, and ZZYZX. He was the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2014 and is a Nominee Member of Magnum Photos. He teaches photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, New York.
