Mark Davis’ series Constellations follows the artist as he pieces together a kind of archive following his father’s death, which was the result of a plane crash in Hopewell, PA. Pittsburgh International Airport belongs to this series, and showcases how Davis seeks to use his camera to follow a physical arc of highs and lows, imagining the same kind of path that his father’s tragic plane crash would have had. Davis holds a BFA from New York University, and has exhibited work recently at the Houston Center for Photography and Filter Photo among others.
