This image is a part of Ed Panar’s ongoing experience of being caught in the act of photography, not by other people, but by a random assortment of familiar animals. The orange face of a cat peeking out the window in Carroll Street is an uncanny reminder that we must appear as strange to animals as they do to us. Panar is the co-founded of the photography bookstore Spaces Corners, and has published several photobooks, most recently, "In the Vicinity". He has exhibited at venues including the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Nofound Photofair Paris and Pier 24 Photography.
