In addition to his well-known photographs of Yosemite, this out of print, signed and first edition book includes excellent examples of some of Ansel Adams’ (1902-1984) most important photographs from Mount Rainier, the Grand Canyon, The Teton Range, Joshua Tree National Monument and many more. This book includes a brief note from Adams’ perspective, containing his detailed explanations of techniques used in creating each photograph. Adams was an iconic American photographer and environmentalist, known for his black-and-white photographs of the American West. He was also a founding participant in the 20th century photography group f/64, who promoted the camera's unique mechanical qualities and sharpness and detail in depth in their work.
