This significant monograph includes more than one hundred magnificent photographs by Ansel Adams (1902-1984), reproduced under the artist’s supervision. This signed edition captures the awesome beauty of Yosemite Valley and the Sierra Nevada, with images that range from the intimate to the panoramic in scope and feel. The publication includes an introduction from Paul Brooks, a prolific writer and editor, who in addition to Adams, worked with authors such as James Agee, Rachel Carson, and Winston Churchill. Adams was an iconic American photographer and environmentalist, known for his black-and-white photographs of the American West. He was also a founding participant in the 20th century photography group f/64, who promoted the camera's unique mechanical qualities and sharpness and detail in depth in their work.
