The Scholars @ Silver Eye invite Pittsburgh university students to showcase their lens-based art practices at The Lab @ Silver Eye on Saturday, March 29th. This event will be an opportunity to come and meet other artists, sell or trade prints, and view a diverse range of artwork!

Picture Mixer: Gloom to Bloom will be free and open to the public.

Q: If I’m not sharing work at Picture Mixer, can I still attend?
A: Yes! Picture Mixer is free and open to the public - come see what Pittsburgh students have been working on!

Q: Do I need to be majoring in an art program to participate?
A: No, you can major in any program to participate and show work.

Q: Where will my work be displayed?
A: Your work will be displayed on half-a-table (3x2ft). You may set down and organize your work to your liking.

Q: Can I bring work that isn’t a photograph?
A: Yes! We welcome expanded forms of lens-based work (like collage and mixed-media pieces) that can be presented on a table!

Q: What if I don’t have physical forms of my work?
A: No problem! Feel free to bring your own device, like a laptop, to show your work!

Q: I’m not in college right now. Can I share work in Picture Mixer?
A: Picture Mixer is aimed towards current undergraduate students in Pittsburgh. We encourage you to join us at other activities such as our monthly Salon!
